Commercial Executive

  • Greenock
  • £19,000 plus significant OTE bonus potential
  • Perm

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Maximising club revenue and profitability by selling:

              - Corporate sponsorship packages

              - Match day hospitality

              - Advertising (pitch side, programmes, website)

              - Club lottery and match day competitions


  • Creating and developing a sales database
  • Organising and attending GMFC hospitality events, including hosting corporate sponsors
  • Identifying and developing strong relationships with local businesses
  • Developing strong relationships with external organisations  - Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, for example
  • Working with the CEO to identify other revenue streams not being exploited by GMFC at present
  • Measuring customer satisfaction via regularly running customer satisfaction surveys


Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong sales experience (within the sports sector would be an advantage), with a demonstrable record of success
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Committed, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent telesales skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • IT literate
  • Strong attention to detail
